I've heard that the beginning symptoms of swine flu are:
Head ache
High tempurature
Sore throat

Is it just me, or are those the same beginning symptoms of like, every other medical issue you could ever possibly have?

I live in America, and I don't actually watch a lot of news here so I could be wrong, but I haven't actually heard anything about Swine Flu for a while now. It doesn't seem to be a big deal here anymore. One of the schools in my district did get shut down earlier this year, but in two days it was back up.

Yesterday I just got back from London, and every time I put on the news, they were talking about Swine Flu. I would get on the tube, and there would be ads about Swine Flu.

I don't know, I think its different everywhere.

at first, i thought it was a totally serious epidemic, but then all the hype calmed down and they realized that swine flu doesn't always kill. so really, it's like the common cold, only it makes you more miserable, in my thoughts.

the media around here was all 'hundreds of people in Mexico died of the swine flu~! :0' but then they found out that only like 3 people died from swine flu and the others died from something else.

... but they didn't say what the other people died from o__o

so the calm only lasted for a few minutes.

...btw I thought this was old news... ? like, April or May. wtf xD;

It's not a pandemic. It's really not. SERIOUSLY.

Chyeah. Tired of hearing about it. AND I ACTUALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT IS. Not that I totally couldn't do research. But I'm lazy.

I've just finished a round of tamiflu, my doctor put me on it when I had a chest infection as it's a powerful anti-viral. Apparently this means I'm safe, now. Huh,

I currently have it, and have had it for two weeks (not contagious anymore, but starting to get breathing trouble Dx)
I'm not too worried about it tbh, if people handle it properly, like staying home when sick,etc then we should be fine.
As previously stated,thousands of people die from seasonal influenza each year, so swine flu is mild compared. No need to panic, just take the neccesary precautions and look after yourself if you do get sick! ^^

I seriously think that the media did make it sound worse than I actually is. I mean it's just like a really bad cold. Seriously people shouldn't really fuss too much about it. It is after all JUST another useless flu that adds to the zillions more that are gonna come and has already passed.
