Metrocon - Change of PlansWe will sadly not be bringing the ShinRa crew to Metrocon. With everything happening recently, we just don't have the time to get the gang together to film for it...
HOWEVER!
We WILL be announcing our new show at Metrocon, probably at the Late Night Panel! So, you chaps at Metrocon will once-again be the first to hear about something new! Last year, you saw the DT trailer, and this year, you will see a trial-run of our new trailer, and our costumes, for the new show!
For those of you unable to make the convention, fear not. We will post the trailer up as soon as we're able to after the con... though I imagine someone will upload it to youtube via their own video cameras before we get the chance XD

2012 Plans, Girl Scouts, and Next Discussion Topic-------2012 Plans-------
Now that I'm a bit more settled into 2012, I'm getting my head around the year a little better. Despite my assurances to myself each year that I'll "take it easier next year", I've once again gone completely against that... and it's only January!
To give you an idea of my year, here's an image of my "in a year" calendar. The dates I already have plans (either definite or yet to confirm) are coloured with a green star:

Already, things are starting to fill up... and it's only going to get fuller! At least it keeps things interesting

So! As for things happening soon, in February I'll be attending the SFX Weekender in North Wales. This is by far the BEST convention I have ever been to, and I've only been once! Devious Journal EntryI just suffered shock at advice I saw being given to a convention goer of how to keep her energy levels up while at a convention...
- Hold soda in your mouth for a few seconds before swallowing it, as your mouth absorbs the sugars quicker
- Drink OJ with sugar added to it
- Honey sticks
Basically, the advice given was "SUGAR, AND LOTS OF IT!"
God.
I don't know what people are taught about health in the USA, but clearly it's VERY different to the UK. People, PLEASE don't live on sugar at a convention! Not only is it bad for your teeth, but bad for your health, and it's NOT the best source of energy there is!
Eating regularly and healthily, especially wholemeals, will provide you with a much healthier and long-lasting source of energy. Sure, you may get a brief rush from a Red Bull, but you'll have a crash as well. I know none of us take the best care of ourselves at cons, but at least TRY to get in a decent breakfast, lunch and dinner. And drink plenty of water!!

Video Plans for 2012Hey guys!
Long time; no talk. How are you all doing?
Since this year is the year of the apocalypse you can expect more Left 4 Dead 2 videos. I'm definitely thinking about making some Keith and Ellis derp videos. The current winning idea is 'How to with Keith.'
Oh, yes. Chaos shall follow.
I'm ALMOST done with a second Blame it on the Cosplay video; THE REVENGE. Seriously, this is so so so so much better than the first one. I really can't wait. The only reason I haven't uploaded it yet is because the contacts for Lestat haven't arrived yet. Once his part is filmed then it shall be up for your pleasure!
You can definitely expect more Marauders. These guys will have plenty more episodes and silly shorts to come.
What else is worth mentioning?
We -might- be filming a final special Sora Show video. This is only a possible at the moment. So don't get your hopes up too much. It might happen. It might not, however it is being talked about.

ABUNAICONIt's come around SO fast, and I feel totally unprepared!!
So, Abunaicon is THIS FRIDAY, and I've finally got around to deciding exactly which costumes I'm bringing... though no clue what ones I'm wearing on which days!

- X-Men, Rogue
I haven't worn Rogue for aaages, but having tried it on again last night, I'm really excited to be wearing this costume again. She is, after all, one of my absolute favourite Marvel characters~
There is a preliminary EuroCosplay round being held at Abunaicon too, so we're expecting to see some awesome costumes at this! As Jenn and I are primarily non-Japanese/Asian origin cosplayers and choose our costumes from outside of this spectrum, we're looking forward to seeing not only some great costumes from animes and manga, but also some fantastic Western-origin costumes too!

Ramblings...

So, I started up this new blog on Tumblr that hopefully a couple of people will be contributing to!

It's called The Survivor Blog

It's an in-character blog, run by the Survivors of L4D/L4D2, with all the posts and reblogs done with an in-character style. They will be text, photo, and gif posts.

So far, the posts are only by Jenn and I, as Nick and Ellis, but I'm hoping a few more of the crew will get involved. I've already got two more people potentially in on it, so we'll see how it goes from there!

So yeah, if you're a tumblr user, please add it to your follow list! Oh, this isn't an Ask account. There are plenty of good L4D Asks out there, and we fancied doing our own thing
