How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Ramblings...

Things are mental right now. Inbetween Ayacon (which has just passed) and with Alcon and Montreal coming up, I'm swamped. Add that to a mental workload at the office, and deviantART is taking something of a backburner while I catch up on all this shit XD

Quick notes:

This 16+ convention, and tickets are available until the 28th August at the price of £30 for the full weekend (going up to £35 after this), or you can buy one-day tickets for £12 a day.

We'll be filming our zombie madness on the FRIDAY, meeting in the Bede Hall quad at noon (if you aren't in Bede hall, just ask a gopher, and they'll point you in the direction of the Quad.). We'll have some zombie makeup available for those unable to get their own, but don't expect a full, professional makeover, and we won't have the time for that! Filming could last anything between a couple of hours and most of the day, so if you have any panels or whatnot that you want to go to through the day, just make sure to let us know. We aren't going to tie you down til we're done or anything, and we'll want to stop for breaks just as much as you guys.

Everyone who takes part in our music video will be credited for their participation. Those who make a real effort with their appearance will probably end up having a more forefront role.
