Seriously. Over 70 journals and 2,500 messages over the period of Christmas/New Year where I barely checked dA. No way am I going to be able to wade through all those! Now begins the process of selecting what to read, and what to delete to help me remain sane. I hate seeing a huge backlog of messages in my dA message centre! Apologies if your message gets lost in the masses!

-------Christmas and New Years-------
I won't go into it too heavily. There were a handful of very low points (including probably my lowest moment of 2011), but it was countered by a much higher number of high points, which weighed the scales in a much more positive manner. As well as having =vampiric-angel stay at my place for a couple of days before and after New Years, I also had our Norwegian friends, Chris and Eirik, in the country for it. Better still, Jenn was practically living at my place for over a week and a half <3. All these things rolled together made the holiday pretty darn good.

Now, after all this, my sleeping pattern has returned to being utterly rubbish (3am, or around then, I think last nights pass-out time ended up being), but I'm hoping that getting back to the gym after the break is going to fix that. Maybe. Perhaps. Fingers crossed?



-------Plans for 2012-------
Well, as people already know, Metrocon is already on the books. We've got some new panel formats planned that are totally different to what we've done previously, so even those of you who've come out to Florida to see us before should be in for something new!
I've sent in a few of our panel ideas for authorisation, and once timetabling begins, we'll start to announce just what it is we have planned.

So, as well as attending Metrocon as guests, there may be a few other events we're guesting at, but I shall keep zipped on those until things are confirmed!

As for general convention attendance, so far, I know we're attending the following:
- SFX Weekender
- Kitacon
- MCM Expo, May
- LFCC


This list will no doubt extend over the coming months, as it always does!

My priorities, cosplay-wise, are to finish my Star Wars and Dragon Age costumes I'm working on, as well as get cracking more on my Halo armour. My first attempt came out too large, so is being donated to my sister, once it's complete. At least my helmet worked out fine!



It's gonna be a busy one...

It's a bit of an odd one, and quite open to interpretation, I think. I hope I answered it correctly.

RULES: List 4 things that are awkward about yourself, or things that you have done that have made situations awkward for yourself and others.

1. Despite being quite outgoing, I often get very uncomfortable when I'm crowded. Weirdly, I find it more uncomfortable to be crowded by people I know well than strangers. For example, I'd rather be in a crowded train carriage than in a small room packed with my friends. I tend to leave rooms very swiftly when they become too busy.
2. If I know someone is lying, I'll often allude to their lie subtly in conversation with them. Part of this is almost like a weird kind of guilt-punishment. The other part is in hopes that their conscience will get the better of them, and have them confess.
3. When I really lose my temper, I can almost see things unravelling in an out-of-body-experience kind of way. I can see it happening, and I know how to stop it, but I'm so detached that I just can't! As a result, I can end up exploding hugely, but be strangely calm and logical about it afterwards.
4. If there is something around my neck, it will end up in my mouth at some point. Scarves are the most common example of this, but necklaces suffer the same fate. I just can't help it! This can be awkward, depending on what company I'm in...
