Weekend Past and FutureI managed to make almost an entire costume for Laura in two days in the weekend just gone. I'm pretty pleased with myself, considering it's not exactly a simple costume, either

Still plenty more to do on other costumes, though. *dies*
This coming weekend, however, should be a good'un. On Saturday morning, Jenn and I will be visiting the offices of the SpecialEffect charity, to see first-hand the work that they do! We'll have the video camera with us, and will be filming so you can all see where out fundraising is going! With luck, this'll help everyone understand what SpecialEffect do, and encourage you to donate!

As part of Art History month for Stock and Resources we have interviewed the much loved `Dan-Heffer who was a Community Volunteer for the Stock and Resources Gallery in the past year. Dan creates a wide range of stock as well as general photographs and has given a bit of insight into his world.

Stock and Resources - how did you get into it and WHY?
I think somebody wanted a reference so i took one for them, then i got chatting in :#arstock: and there i found out how male stock wasn't as big and that there wasn't as much as female so started to contribute. The support grew and grew and yes! Thats pretty much it!

What's your favourite subject to shoot stock of?

Always people, because people allow for emotions and emotions make for the best stock!

So, judging by the poll results, we've got a LOT of RPers here!

I figured this'd be a good time to all advertise one another. I'm currently working on a high-fantasy board that I'll share with y'all when I'm happy with it, but I'm interested in seeing where you guys (the ones who don't do it privately or via PM) roleplay.

Incidentally, how many of you would potentially be interested in joining an intermediate/advanced (i.e. 400word minimum posts) high-fantasy RP forum?

I think i would be pretty interested, onc ei got rid of this writers vlock...

I used to rp on some website that i cant even think of th name of anymore... but i quit that a while ago. and then I started to rp on Yaoi Dreams.net. My maximum posts on there was like 15-16 paragraphs with 5-7 lines per paragraph. they dont have a word limit or a word counter on there [ that i know of ] but i can assume it was over 400. ^_^.

I rp, particularly, on an old Piczo website... very lame, but the owner keeps it so spiffy! Nowadays, I usually rp privately on skype, but also on NaNoWriMo RP forums and the occasional Twitter rp now and then.

I roleplay on tumblr. There's a huge group of us who roleplay "tiny" kingdom hearts characters, as if the characters have been shrunken to the size of a soy sauce bottle. I RP Larxene and it's a lot of fun. I've met some of my best friends because of it and we're all like a family over there. ><

I'd be interested in this high-fantasy RP of yours.

I mostly RP with my best friend through texting (its difficult with a strict mom) but I have a blast with it. It's all we ever do now

I've tried to RP on other sites but I guess I don't find the right people to do it with.

I would be 100% interested. I need more people to RP with, because I primarily roleplay on AIM. I used to meet RPers on Gaia Online, but a lot of it is crap because it's more of an interest community these days than it is a roleplaying one (which is what it started out as, amusingly enough), and there are no standards for roleplays in those forums, unless they're imposed individually by the users who start the threads. ......Not to mention, the roleplays usually end and don't go anywhere, and it's hard to find a good roleplay with Original Characters rather than it being series-based. I hate series-based roleplays.

Please let me know about this forum! Seriously. :I

And if you know of any other good Original Character roleplaying communities, that'd be super duper. Seriously. Serious totes. Totally. Totes serious.
