Hay minions!

Well, today was something of goodness wrapped in cheery happy with a light sprinkling of joy. That means I enjoyed it, y'know.

I'm glad I was genius enough to suggest the Science Museum. Everyone thinks it's just Vexen that has the brains, but they are SO wrong. However, I did learn stuff today that Vexen had already told me.. like bubbles can only ever be spherical. I HAFF A DEGREE IN BUBBLEOLOGY! It's true. I rule.

Uhm... I ate a big cookie cake.
And a load of love hearts.
And a squidgy heart.
And a muffin.
And a kfc.
...and some gum. I didn't mean to swallow it, but I laughed, and just... didn't point it out to anyone. I didn't wanna seem like a complete retard.

So. Funny happenings from today:

- Larxene TOTALLY had it out for Demyx. She threw coke bottles at him, and knived his eye, amongst other things.
- Our Marly was a man whore ¬_¬
- Larxene almost choked while giving a piece of popcorn chicken a blow job.
- Today was Ziggy day
- We met people dressed as Corona bottles. It was godlike. They werent full of beer though.
- I had to talk to the police... for the second time in TWO DAYS. (the first time was not my fault...honestly!) Apparently, I was being told later, what the copper said to me was total bullshit too.
- I got to throw Chester a few times.
- Got to meet some new peoples. That's always good.
- Demyx, Saix and I recited Disney Songs at random points throughout the day.
- Yuki/Luxord went on the wrong train home XD
- WE LOST THE GAME LIKE A THOUSAND FREAKIN TIMES (and now you've lost the game too. HA!)
- Someone shouted out that "YOUR MUM!" was the ingredient you add to water to make bubbles. I thought it was legitimate as an answer, personally.
- I DRAWED A PIKCHURE
- Demyx transformed into Marluxia at one point. I didn't like that part. At all. Nope. It was bad. Like terrorism. And wafer.
- Lots of stuff happened.
- More stuff happened.
- Cheese.
- I made a new Organization. I got dibs on Superior. Demyx is 2. Roxas is 3. Marly wasn't allowed to join. I don't like Marly. He's such a flowerpower freak. Stupid Marly. Stupid pink hair. Stupid stupid. I don't like him. ((authors note: I do love Ben though. He rocks)
- I got bored of writing a list and decided to end it here.

So yeah. That's some stuff that happened in some places at some times.

Uhm... I will upload stuff tomorrow. Demyx and I are watching Road to El Dorado at the moment. It's good. VERY GOOD. I suggest you do the same ^_^

UPDATE 2!!!
Some members of Castle Oblivion UK, including myself, will be attending the Tokyo Toys chinese new year party. We'll also be mooching around the capital doing photoshoots, including NEW MEMBERS. It should be awesome.

Tonight, my sis and I will be doing a Pancake Day photoshoot as narutofan15 suggested. That should be somewhat amusing. My wig needs some major restyling, but luckily it still looks okay on camera. The debut of my NEW wig will have to wait, as I majorly screwed it up.

Also, in un-cosplay related news, I handed in my notice at work today. I leave for better things in one month. W00t! Also, to those of you I speak to on MSN, I warn you know that I've been feeling a bit... down, for want of a better word. Apologies if I seem off.

Okay, so the weekend is almost here.
Firstly, I wish to copy in my previous journal entry:

There is NO formal order of events. My plan is thus: Meet at Hyde Park at midday (I will probably arrive earlier than this). Tool around at Hyde for a while, giving people a chance to all get there, mess around, take pictures etc. At some point, I will make a move with whoever else is interested to the Science Museum. PLEASE NOTE that I do NOT expect everyone to want to stay together at the museum. There are one or two spots there I especially wanna visit purely because they will RULE for Organization photos. If you do not want to stay with us, then I'd like to suggest that, as well as seeing the exhibitions, that you all at LEAST try and visit the Launchpad there. It's so much fun! Lots of kiddies about, but it's really awesome.

After Science Museum (perhaps, on the day, I will set a time that my group intends to leave. If you want to meet near the entrance and leave with us at that time, feel free. Otherwise remain/leave whenever you desire) I intend to return to go to Tokyo Toys to chillax for a bit, perhaps do some DDR if I remember my inhaler (I keep forgetting it and killing myself!) and get some pics around Troc. From there on, it's a free for all. Wanna go get food? Go ahead. Wanna go shopping? Do it! Wanna go do photoshoots, please do, and post the pics up for me to see later!

I think, for the sake of arguement, I will rename this event 2nd February: Uniform Cosplay Meet-Up. There will be NO sit-down picnic, though feel free to bring munchies if you so desire. Ask me if you have any questions at all! If you don't think you're going to enjoy the day, then please take some time to decide whether or not you want to come.

REGARDING THE SCIENCE MUSEUM
I'm not expecting us all to stay together. Hell, that'd probably be chaos! What'll probably happen is we will split up into groups of mates, and we'll arrange a time to meet up back at a certain part of the museum. If you aren't there within maybe 10 mins of that time, then we leave you behind. Sorry, but I'm not going to be responsible for people who can't keep an eye on their watch/phone. I will, however, give out my mobile number to whoever wants it, if it makes you feel happier knowing you can keep in contact if there's a problem. I'm NOT going to split people into groups myself. Just.. do whatever you want, basically! If you wanna stick with my crew, then by all means feel free. I'm easy going, so I really don't mind.

REGARDING LUNCH/DINNER
I have nothing planned. Usually the Orgy Kru and I go to KFC (because Demyx is so cute that the woman there gives her free stuff) but there's no definite plan. Again, do whatever you want to do. I'm not going to publically announce my lunch/dinner plans.

REGARDING TOKYO TOYS
This will be considered the central meeting point. IF you get split up from others, just go here. If you find you are totally alone, talk to Hideki at Tokyo Toys (just ask any member of staff for him) and he has my number, if you really need to contact me. WE will all end up going here at various points of the day. BUY POCKY.

My mother reacted *very* badly upon finding out about the fact that I have a girlfriend. In turn, I took *her* reaction very badly, drank, and decided it was a good idea to get behind the wheel of my car. Luckily for me my sister was on the ball, got Jenn to call me, and under her instruction I pulled into the nearest carpark instead of continuing my aimless and dangerous drive.

Jenn talked me down. I'm back home now, though for how long... I don't know. I won't be staying here for long if this is how things are going to be.

I'm happy, and I'm not hurting anyone. Why is that a problem for people?

I know I have to talk to my parents about all this but.... it's easier said than done. Right now, I have no idea what I'm going to do about them.

Im a lazy git.

Larxene is already like... halfway through her Queen of Tarts... I mean, Hearts, costume. I'm meant to be Axel the Cheshire Cat, and GOD have I done any of it yet???

I know EXACTLY what I need to do. Hell, I have had the costume drawn out on paper for goddamn weeks now... and I keep looking at it... and... mehhhh. I'm just so lazy.

BUT I have a whole week off work starting tomorrow, and I have the material, so I'll get to work.

So, I spent most of the week at mah gurlfriend 's place this week and we did some filming. She reckons we may have enough to finish the AkuDemy vid which is KILLERAWESOME. My wig took some SERIOUS beating these past few days, yet SHOCKINGLY still looks pretty perfect! Im gonna start experiementing with types of eye makeup though, as liquid black eyeliner keeps gathering inside my eyelid and that can't be too hygenic, surely. I've got all week off work so I'll no doubt get bored at some point and give it a go.

So yeah... we cosplayed a lot. Went to the gaybar in cosplay and had a drag queen run after us to find out if mine and Demyx's hair was real or not! XD. I won at pool, which was awesome! We got kicked out of the rock club, which sucked... but meh. Demyx is an UTTER lightweight who gets smashed on minimal numbers of WKD's. Tch. Uhm... I got attacked by Hoho's cosplayer... AND DEMYX WOULDNT RESCUE ME TT_TT

We ate pizza. It was good.

Woooooo it's a long one...

I shall start with the good.

I loved it. I met a LOAD of people who I knew only via dA username before now, and putting a face to a name is a great thing. Met a load of cool people, got some wicked pics, had a right laugh, and could chill in TT whenever it got too much. The crew who I hung with all day (you know who you are!) were wicked awesome. We had such good fun. There are some people I wish I could have spent more time with, but there ya go.

On the minus side:

BIG GROUPS
I'm not pleased with the amount of negativity people are giving. I have said it since I started coming to these things (I'm quite a newb compared to most), but there is nowhere NEAR enough events and activities in the UK for cosplayers. When a meet up or picnic is on, I think it is expected that a lot of people are going to want to join, and I love seeing so many people come together! Some people don't like big groups. Well... you can get a good idea of how many people are going to go my the responses the Picnic Organisers journal receives. If it looks like there are gonna be too many there for your liking, don't go!

Do YOU want to be the one to tell all these other cosplayers they aren't invited to the next event? I wouldn't like to, and I would never consider doing so. In the UK, cosplay is NOT as commonplace as it is in many other countries. I want to feel like I'm part of a big community, and therefore love to socialise with as many others who cosplay as possible.

-SPLITTING OFF
When you have that many people together, smaller groups are going to split off. It's inevitable. Some want to spend money in Orbital. Some want to go find locations for photos. Some want to get into the warm. Some want to eat. Some want to just chill where they are. ITS GOING TO HAPPEN. You cannot expect EVERYONE to want to do the same thing. We are now lucky enough to have Hideki at Tokyo Toys offer us the store as a meeting point. It means we have a central and easily accessible location for us all to congregate together regardless of how we may split up. People need to remember though that these are not formally organised events! There is no definitive timetable of events for the day. You just have to go with the flow! Again, if you don't like it so much, then don't come. What's the point in attending something that will stress you out?

- Glomping/Hugging/Groping
Don't get me wrong. I find the Glomp that cosplayers seem to be the sole owners of very amusing but... be considerate. If someone starts shouting to be let go, then let go. If they've said they don't like it in the past, don't do it again in the future. If someone is wearing clothes that make such actions inappropriate, then use your head.

Some people don't like being glomped.
Some people don't like being hugged.
Some people don't like being touched or grabbed.

At the end of the day, cosplayers are just like every other person in this world. Would you go up to a random stranger you barely know and grope them if they weren't a cosplayer? I certainly hope not. I know several people who got quite upset/annoyed with people doing the above to them yesterday. I personally have a dislike of being glomped in my platforms, and also have a bit of a fear of being lifted too high from the ground. Please bear this in mind about both myself and others when you next decide to do something like this.

20th Jan Organization XIII Photoshoot</u>

Or, more appropriately, Organization IV.

Axel, Demyx, Larxene and Zexion took on London today for a Org XIII Photoshoot. I'd also like to announce that we are getting VERY close to possibly having a full Organization! On the 19th, our friend Dan (cosplaying Yuki that day) agreed to become our resident Drunken Englishman, Luxord! I personally think, after seeing him in the blond Yuki wig, that he will be PERFECT for the role!

But I digress. We went and did several places today. Hyde to begin, then Trocoderos, then a bit of a wander that ended in Trafalgar and a LOT of photos around the National Gallery area. So many pictures, and SO MUCH FUN! It's the best two days of cosplay I've done so far, me thinks. Watch this page for the next few days as I will be uploading pictures.

Yes, I like to sew.

Not by hand, mind you. I have a huge sewing machine that I love to use. My mum used to be a dress and hat maker many years ago, so I have picked up a fair bit off her. She's also really helpful when I get stuck, like when I have an idea for what I want to do but don't know how to do it.

I was getting creative for the Saix Puppy last night, and it was pretty good fun making everything! The wig I have ordered still isn't here so we're using a temporary one at the moment, but Saix puppy now has ears, an awesome tail, and paws for his arms. Legs are still being worked on. Expect to see some Puppy on the 19th!

I have Axel-stuff to work on too. I'm attending a Furry Walk on the 16th Feb, and intend to go as a furry version of Axey. Ears, tail, etc. This will also double as being parts of my costume for Castle Oblivion UK's masquarade in May. We're... not officially announcing what it is yet ^_^ So yeah, I may finish off Saix Puppy's stuff tonight and then start working on the templates for my Furry Axel attire.

I'm also probably going to dye my hair red again tonight. I had it all cut off yesterday (anyone who has seen my natural hair and knew its length... well, its now shorter than shoulder length. About chin length, I'd say) so yeah, dying it is the next thing on the list. I've been intending to recolour my hair for aaaaages but just been too lazy. I'm off to the pub first after work to meet a friend (she wants to know more about my breakup, I reckon) then off home for hair dye and sewing machine goodness!

A busy night... and its only Thursday! Have you realised how when you are really anticipating the weekend, the weekdays drag for as long as they possibly can?

Don't use your journal to emo bitchfest. Nobody cares. If you have a problem with someone then tell them. Don't write hints about it in a journal. How pathetic. This practice is becoming too common. Also, be a bit more mindful of your insults. Saying people are dicks is one thing, but referring to them as "fags/faggots" is just out of order. You know who you are.

`tealpirate and I met up today for photos!

It was a long, but bloody awesome day. We started up in Hyde Park, moved into Trocoderos, hung around having pictures and videos there for a LONG time, meandered around London for a bit, and generally had a laugh and a good time.

Both of us are SO thankful to ~sora1992 who acted as photographer and camera woman ALL day, putting up with us getting the giggles, screwing up, and being general tools. She did pretty much ALL our filming and ALL our photos all day, so THANKYOOOOU! All the pictures done by her can be found in my gallery under the Axel Demyx photoshoot folder.

Demyx is working on a video with myself in, so watch this space for more details! It's gonna be totally awesome!

I have news.

Tonight, I have been on the phone to Hideki, of Tokyo Toys. Basically, he was telling me how he wants Tokyo Toys to not be just a shop, but a social meeting ground for all anime and manga fans. He wants the shop to be as full as possible as often as he can, and not just with customers, but with people enjoying themselves.

As such, he is offering us cosplayers FREE picnic space. He is offering to put a table up at the back for us, bring down a screen so we can watch anime, set up the Xbox 360 so we can play against eachother, and have the stereo play music for us!

Especially as it is winter, this is ideal for larger meetups. People can still go elsewhere and do photoshoots and such, but we have a central meeting point thats warm, and now has free entertainment, where we can all just socialise, watch anime, and have fun! The fact that he is offering this to us for free is even better.

Okay, I have waited long enough to decide the final date, and here it is.

THE UNIFORM COSPLAY DAY WILL BE HELD ON FEBRUARY THE 2ND!

The poll seemed to have more people that were only able to do Saturday rather than Sunday (five against three), and only one person voted for a specific day, so I chose that one. I'm *really* sorry to people who could only do Sundays. I hate feeling like people are getting left out It's not intentional, I swears! I hope you can find a way to come regardless!

So, Uniform Cosplay Day. This is where you dress as your favourite cosplay character, but in some form of uniform. Suggestions are: Businessman, school kid, nurse, doctor, fireman, policeman, soldier (I wouldn't suggest carrying toy guns though), shop assistant (if any of you have a Boots or Tescos uniform, for example), postman, builder, scientist etc. The possibilities are ENDLESS! Just try and make it so, when people look at you, they think "Oh em gee its Naruto the Nurse!" or something, as opposed to "It's some guy with blond hair in a nurses uniform"! Get what I mean?

It's going to be pretty laid back, to be honest. My idea is to meet at Hyde Park at 12, as that seems to be the norm. I guess we hang around there for as long as we want, then if people are still up for the idea, off to the Science or Natural History Museum? Are people still willing to do this? It's free to enter, warm, and pretty fun (especially the Science Museum, with all its interactive points). Would people be up for this? If not, then Trocoderos.... or both! I don't mind if people wanna go off and do their own thing, but it'd be nice if we could all stick together?

Sometimes, I feel I write too many journals O.o

Anyway, some of you yesterday were interested in staying in London accommodation during the May Expo and, as I said, I have been looking into it. The cheapest option is to try and get dorms or shared youth hostel accommodation.

So, I've been looking into it. There are no hostels that I can find at the Victoria Docks, so staying right near ExCel is not happening unfortunatly. So I've just tried around central London, with the idea that we can tube it each day (travelcards or, if it's cheaper, direct return tickets).

The cheapest options I can find come to between £12 and £18 per person per night for under 18's, and between £16 and £24 per night for over 18's. I'm still doing some searching, but this seems to be the generally accepted prices. I'm trying to find mixed gender dorms, as this would be the cheapest and easiest way to do things, but it seems to be mostly single sex rooms, which is a bit meh.

ANYHOO! What I was going to ask is who would SERIOUSLY, and I do mean seriously, be interested in doing a room/dorm share over the Expo? I, for one, can't be bothered with getting the train early each day and late each evening. Staying in London is a definite for my sister and I. We would be arrving on the Friday night so as to not have to rush ourselves Saturday morning. If you are honestly interested, can you please tell me so by commenting on this journal. I need to get an idea of numbers because the more we get, the bigger a discount we will get. Please don't reply if you don't think you will be allowed. If anything, ask your parents now and see what they say. If they are worried about you staying in London because of your age, I'd be happy for them to have my number as the person arranging it (sometimes it seems that having someone in the group who isn't a teenager makes parents seem a lot more at ease!).

If you are interested, and this does go ahead, I will confirm the price with you all, and book the room. Then, before the expo at a picnic or something, you will all need to bring me the money for your share. I'm taking a gamble here, people, as obviously it's possible that I'm going to book this thing and then people will not pay or drop out. I really don't want that to happen. I do also have a paypal account so you could pay by that as well, if you wished.

UPDATE: found some places that go as low as £8-12, and I believe that's for adults. Score! And its mixed dorms.

COSPLAY NEWS
Port Royal Sora seemed to go down pretty well with people! Possibly one of my better ideas. We're talking about doing furthur improvements and developments to it and having it as a proper cosplay.
Today, my Axel Boots were debuted! I love them. Seriously. Wanna marry them. They were also surprisingly kind on my feet too! A REQUEST PEOPLE! When I am cosplaying in these boots, please do not attack/glomp/pull/drag me without me saying its okay. I lose my balance easily in them when caught offguard.
My chakrams didn't get broken today! Score! ANOTHER REQUEST PEOPLE! Please don't attack/glomp/group hug/hug me when I'm holding them without warning me. They are pretty damn fragile, and took ages to make. It breaks a bit of my heart every time they get damaged O.o
I. Cant. Believe. I. Forgot. To. Do. The. Tattoos. On. My. Face. Many thanks to everyone who lent me mirrors and eyeliners throughout the day to sort out this dilemma. You know who you are!
The red eye pencil I bought for my makeup isnt as good as I had hoped it would be. Im gonna buy a red liquid one instead. My upper eyelid black is always done in liquid and never seems to smudge. It seems to be the way to go.

PHOTOSHOOT NEWS
...  I love you. No, really, I do. We had some awesome Yaoiness going on. We had some great pics... and some bloody awful ones too! Oh, and seeing you hit your head after trying to spit your gum away made me piss myself with laughter. FAIL!
and I also have some more awesome fight-pose photos. I love doing fight scenes with her.
was pretty much my official photographer throughout the day, and caught Zexion hitting his head on a wall (QUALITY!). I love her.

Oh, and I got asked for photos from several random strangers today, including one boy who actually called to me by my name (Axel, not my real name!) which made me stop and pose for him. Another little Spanish girl at Marylebone station asked her mum how to say "Can i have a photo with you" in English so she could have a picture taken with me ^.^ I also had several randoms ask for pics in Troc. I absolutely LOVE having my photo taken by randoms. Makes me feel really good about my cosplay ^.^

It was good to eat somewhere that wasn't that same Japanese place that people insist on going to every. single. time. Seriously, are people not aware that there are MANY places you can eat chinese and japanese food in London? Do people *really* have to suggest the exact same restaurant every single time? I personally wanna find somewhere that doesn't take 20mins to give you a drink, delivers everyones food at around the same time. Helpful staff would also be a plus point. I'm gonna start a search for new restaurants and cafes, I think. I like variety. Same thing every visit gets a bit feckin' boring. Sure, KFC isn't top of the range, but at least it was different!

DOWNSIDES
It was always either too damn hot, or too damn cold. Inside Troc, too hot. Outside Troc, too cold. The only time I was comfortable is when the remainders of us were all sat upstairs in KFC eating. That was a good end to the day. Cheers guys ^.^
My athsma gave me issues after DDR. I always bloody forget to bring my inhaler cosplaying.
The chavs. The ones stood on the bridge perving and hurling abuse. I fucking hate dickheads like that.
Climbing on the Trafalgar Monument. Remember me saying I would no doubt hurt myself? Turns out I did. I grazed my knee. What's that, I hear you say? That's not a real injury?! FINE! I... splintered my spleen or something. HAPPY?!

+ I bought some gorrrgeous platforms for my Axel cosplay. Yes yes yes, I know Axel doesn't wear platforms in KH, but have you SEEN how insanely short I am? Height was desperatly required. These do the job, and they are the SEX.
+ Bought a load of random stuff for the casual cosplay, including a red and black tie, flaming wristband and a new red eyeliner (I was previously using lipliner... not the best substitute!)
+ Blink 182 is on the radio. Im at work alone and am singing along like an utter fool ^.^

Okay, I REALLY need to decide which cosplays I wanna do for Expo's and such next year.

Axel will 100% make an appearance once at each expo. He is, after all, my favourite. Pein may make an appearance too at the request of one of my buddies.

However, I have several ideas for potentials and I just CAN'T decide right now which once I want. So, I thought that I'd post all my ideas here, as well as the pros and cons of each one. I will post a pic of each character too for your reference. Could y'all gimme a hand and pick your fave three, and put them in order of which you think I should do most (i.e. number 1 is your fave). Yeah. It's Xmas eve... and I totally don't care. It's a sad, sad fact of growing up that, at some point, you just don't give a rats arse about Xmas like you once used to. It's also a sad, sad fact of getting old that eventually you reach an age where you get REALLY into Xmas again. But I haven't got there.

So yeah, anyway. Xmas. Um... mine will mainly be spent in an inebriated state... just like aaaany other day I don't work. So, to those of you I talk to on MSN if I seem a bit 'bubblier' (is that a word?) than usual, assume I have had a few Jamesons and Cokes!

Anyway, all y'all on here I know through cosplaying, so I guess that's the best thing to reminisce about. and I met out first cosplayers at the Naruto Screening in... was it October or November? Yeah, it was November. I am part of the "Addicted to Naruto" group on Facebook, and someone had posted about the screening on there, and the cosplaying option. My sister and I have always been huge on fancy dress, but we'd never had much chance to cosplay with other anime and manga fans before, as we don't really *know* many anime and manga fans in our area. Charlotte has done Sora before at Halloween (Halloween Sora, big surprise) and I had done non-anime stuff like Chaos Mohawk Emo Ranger (watch them on myspace. awesome stuff) and Joey Jordison from Slipknot, as well as just general fancy dress goodness at my student union.

So, at the Screening, we met our first proper cosplayers. A few stand out in my mind instantly who have activly affected both mine and my sisters cosplaying since. I wanna give a few shout outs to those people:
