The boiler room. I know nothing about boiler rooms, so don't ask me what the function of these things is! They were pretty huge though.

Please note: Do not bother asking how to get into this building, as I am not going to say. Be aware that urban exploration of abandoned and damaged buildings is highly dangerous (due to broken flooring, glass, asbestos, lead paint etc).

I don't know if they did electro-shock therapy here or not, but if so, they wouldn't have used it to kill ^_^

Mm, in any complex larger than a house, like a hospital or a police station, that requires a larger number of rooms to be heated at one particular time, they put in a boiler room. Most schools made at a particular time have them, and so does my current place of work.

So I'd they'd most likely supply hot water across the complex.

Unlikely. I think they are just breakers for all the general electrical items found in any building.
